Emerging Applied Technologies Conference Delivers Quality Content
Marina training association provides attendees with cutting-edge topics

IMI’s Emerging Applied Technologies Conference, October 25–27, 2009 at the Embassy Suites, Fort Lauderdale, was deemed a success by all participants. Particularly the educational program was well received by all attendees. Seminars highlighted waterfront developments, new revenue streams for sustainability in challenging economic times, environmentally friendly design and construction, insight into new regulations in regard to pressure washing and fire codes, and two speakers introduced ways to utilize the Internet and social networking sites as critical components to any business marketing plan. The conference ended with an interactive panel discussion among speakers and attendees.

Exhibitors also deemed the conference a success saying “the ratio of attendees to exhibitors at this show is one of the highest I have experienced in quite some time,” Marty McDonald, EMP Industries. “We have had to scale back on our conference participation, but I am happy we made the choice to participate in this one.”

Conference participants traveled from as far as New Zealand and Dubai to learn from industry leaders and to network with their peers. Attendees visited with such exhibitors as Dockmaster Software, EMP Industries, Weiler Engineering Corporation, and Scribble Software—all of whom provided access to information on some of their newest products.
