The Intermediate Marina Management School (IMM), IMIs most popular program, focuses on marina operations, policies, and procedures. Marina-management pros offer their expert thinking about business issues and challenges throughout the industry.
Topics include: marine-law contracts, risk and liabilities, fire- and emergency-response planning, environmental management, health and safety compliance, and personal self-improvement skills. The IMM program is the first step toward becoming a Certified Marina Manager (CMM) or Certified Marina Operator (CMO) and is a prerequisite for admission to the Advanced Marina Management course.
FEES: $2,700 (members), $3,175 (non-members) includes four nights of lodging, opening reception, closing dinner, and breakfast and lunch daily.
REQUIREMENTS
At least one full year's experience working either as a marina manager or in a marina-leadership position, in which the applicant has performed day-to-day onsite work in a marina of 50 or more berths. Limit: 24 students.
